Not sure how he finds the time to do it (it’s a lesson for all of us), but screenwriter Bill Martell exhaustively details his perspective on this year’s Screenwriting Conference at Santa Fe. The snapshot accompanying this entry is yours truly outside his lab and seminar meeting room at The Lodge. I’ve been serving as faculty at the conference since 2003, and you should check out the conference website and its Facebook page if you’re thinking about going in 2011 (I hope to be asked back as faculty again).

Wrapped up 3 intense days at the Screenwriting Conference at Santa Fe, with fellow faculty mentors Ian Abrams, Kirk Ellis, Dara Marks, Bill Martell, Josh Olson and Wendall Thomas. Thanks to all the participants who were part of my First Screenplay Lab, to all the consultees, to all who attended my seminar “Building a One-of-a-Kind Protagonist,” and to conference director Larry Stouffer for his yeoman’s work in running a conference for more than 10 years…

Thursday morning I commence 3 days of teaching screenwriting, consulting on scripts, and hanging out with both professional and novice screenwriters at the Screenwriting Conference at Santa Fe. Should be fun, and hopefully I’ll still have a voice by the end of Saturday night.
