I’m joined by my colleague, Studio Arts Professor Tom Miller, as we talk all things Outdoor Vision Fest (coming up April 28) on the weekly radio broadcast “Art Fusion,” airing on KVSF 101.5FM this Thursday, April 27, 12noon MDT. The show is hosted by Artisan Santa Fe co-owner Ron Whitmore, and covers both the art and music scenes in Santa Fe. You can live-stream the broadcast here.
If you can’t get your fill of OVF 2017 news, check out archived podcasts of my appearances on
- KSFR-FM’s “Cinema Scope” with substitute host Linda McDill, first airing on Friday night, April 21; and
- KVSF-FM‘s “The Richard Eeds Show” with the eponymous host, first airing Monday morning, April 24.
More broadcasts later in the week, as we head to show night on April 28!
If you’re driving into work in Northern New Mexico Monday morning (April 24), tune in to KVSF‘s “The Richard Eeds Show” (101.5 FM) at 8am MDT, as I’ll be joining Richard to discuss the latest developments for our upcoming Outdoor Vision Fest®, happening the night of April 28 on the campus of Santa Fe University of Art and Design. You can live-stream the broadcast here, and yes, there will be a podcast posted later on Monday, in case you sleep in a little late.
If you missed the live broadcast of “The Richard Eeds Show” on KVSF-FM Friday morning, you can still catch the archived podcast of the segment, where OVF student artist Katrina Vollbracht and I both talk about Outdoor Vision Fest 2017, coming up on April 28. Augmented reality, virtual reality, interactive Byzantine ikons and much more — all coming to OVF in 3 weeks!
I’ll be guesting on “The Richard Eeds Show” (KVSF, 101.5FM, “the Voice of Santa Fe”) this Friday, April 7, at 9am MDT — to kick off 2017’s Outdoor Vision Fest (OVF) media tour. This is the 7th year of OVF, and I’m thrilled to again be executive-producing the event (which I’ve done since co-founding it in 2011), working with Santa Fe University of Art and Design faculty colleagues Brad Wolfley, Tom Miller, Jason Goodyear and others.
In 2016 we attracted some 3800 attendees to the campus for an exciting night of cutting-edge media installations, 100% created by undergraduate students. This year we’re hoping to do even better — and we’re bringing in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality (via the Blippar app, available on iOS and Android — download today!) and other new media toys to further enhance the OVF experience.
If you missed the live broadcast of KVSF-FM‘s weekly “Art Beat” this Thursday, you can catch the podcast here. My colleague Professor Tom Miller and I spend an hour with host Kathryn Davis, discussing Outdoor Vision Fest® and its impact on Santa Fe’s art scene, along with providing verbal snapshots of some of the nearly 50 installations debuting this April 29.
Great segment today (April 27) on “New Mexico Film Works” — KVSF 101.5FM’s and the New Mexico Film Office‘s weekly radio broadcast on news and events involving the local film and media industries — with co-hosts Don Gray and Belle Allen, and guest (and faculty colleague) Lisa Lucas — all to discuss Outdoor Vision Fest® 2016. Podcast posted as soon as it’s available.
