I’ll be making the rounds of Las Cruces broadcast radio this week, on behalf of my feature film 2-WAY, which I’ve written and am now co-producing with Claudio Ruben of Red Dzambhala Films.
This week’s radio waves tour includes stops at Radio Que Tal, as we spend time with host Peter Goodman on his show “Speak Up, Las Cruces”. Airtime is 9am MDT Wednesday (6/20) on 101.5FM — but you can stream it live here. The segment was pre-recorded, and we’re told we’re coming in at around 45 minutes. It was quite a free-ranging discussion, but it’ll be the first unveiling of our next steps with the film (so kinda exciting!). I hope you can live-stream the show.
Our next stop is on KRWG-FM, Las Cruces’s NPR station (which provides NPR content across southern New Mexico and into El Paso), headquarted on New Mexico State University‘s campus. We’ll be the primary spotlight on the show “PUENTES a la comunidad” (aka Fronteras), hosted by Emily Guerra. Broadcast time is 5pm MDT Saturday, on 90.7FM — but this can also be live streamed on the station’s home page! We’ll again preview our next steps with the film — so you have two opportunities to get a sneak peek at our big announcement scheduled June 24.
Please follow 2-WAY on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram, if you haven’t already — it really helps us as we reach our 100% independently financed budget goal.
Thanks so much to all of you who have already liked our 2-WAY Facebook page; it’s really appreciated! (And if you haven’t yet, this is the perfect time to click on the link and like/follow the page — or you can always search for @2waythemovie in Facebook, and find us.)
Dozens of likes can move us into hundreds of likes which can ultimately move us to thousands of likes. And this is actually really important, as it helps us in lining up territorial pre-sales, product placement, and crowdfunding (it’s 2018, and social media performance helps with everything). This is what independent feature films have to do to gain traction in a very crowded marketplace.
In the meantime, if you also have an Instagram account, we’d love to have you follow us there as well: again, you can search for @2waythemovie — or click on this handy link. While content will overlap between our Facebook&Twitter feeds and our Instagram feed, you’ll definitely find some unique content on Instagram, since we’re trying to communicate solely using perfectly square imagery. 🙂
In the coming days, we’ll let you know how we expect to intersect with New Mexico State University’s Creative Media Institute and Dona Ana Community College’s Creative Media Technology department — and there’ll be lots of other news as well!
